Me, myself, and I. / Writing

Something about myself for once; a poetry contest that I didn’t know that I had won.

I don’t often blog about myself because the last time I had a blog I was stalked by a psycho female from my past; which was not the most pleasant experience.

But I don’t feel like it’s too personal to share a bleeding awesome victory; in that in all the submissions I have for poetry and writing, it’s rare for me to hear positive feedback, let alone win any of them. But I have good news! Not only did this Labor Day weekend end with a smashing awesome dance weekend in which I met a ton of new people, learned some great dance moves, and all in all had countless fabulous adventures, but I also won a poetry contest that I had practically forgotten about.

Here’s a link to the page on which my poem is posted, and I highly encourage you to not only enter this contest (it’s free, easy, fun, and themed!) but to check out the author’s poetry.

Brice Maiurro is from Colorado and writes poetry with an easy-going rhythm and yet very deep and thoughtful themes. It’s something that can be read leisurely, but that will come back to your mind throughout the day; provoking creative thought and reflection. Check it out everybody! http://flashlightcityblues.com/
